What Each Option Covers
Each option covers the following work, with product selections and quantities confirmed in your written quote.
- Removal of existing wall and floor tiles, shower wall panels or surrounds, and the existing bathtub or shower installation.
- Necessary substrate preparation and waterproofing for the agreed renovation scope, followed by installation of new wall and floor finishes.
- Replacement bathtub or shower installation, including selected shower fixtures and fittings.
- New toilet, bathroom vanity, countertop, basin and faucet.
- New mirror and shower glass where applicable to the selected bath or shower configuration.
- Painting of bathroom walls and ceiling.
- Installation and reconnection to existing plumbing locations.
- Debris removal and final cleanup.
Bathtub & Shower Configuration
The bathtub or shower provision follows the existing bathroom configuration and the agreed replacement design. It does not automatically include both a separate bathtub and a separate shower. Conversions or layout changes are assessed and priced separately.
What's Retained and What's Quoted Separately
Existing concealed electrical wiring and the exhaust fan are retained. Layout changes, concealed damage repairs and additional plumbing or electrical work are quoted separately. Any required changes identified during assessment or demolition will be discussed before proceeding.
Asbestos Removal / Abatement
In older homes (particularly pre-1990), asbestos removal or abatement may be required. Preliminary additional budget: CAD $1,500–$14,500. Final pricing depends on the assessment and removal scope. This work is not included in the package budgets.
How Budgets and Timelines Work
Budget ranges are preliminary allowances, not fixed quotes. Final pricing reflects bathroom size, site conditions, product selections and the confirmed scope. Applicable taxes are additional.
Estimated on-site timelines begin once materials are ready and the site is available for construction. Product ordering, approvals and permit processing, where applicable, occur before this period. Concealed conditions or changes to the agreed scope may affect completion dates.
